Biography

Eakhwan Song received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Daejeon, South Korea, in 2004, 2006, and 2010, respectively. In 2008, he worked as a Technical Co-op in the IBM Systems and Technology Group (STG), Poughkeepsie, NY, USA, where he received the Best Hardware Award at the IBM Early Tenure TechConnect 2008. In 2010, he was a Postdoctoral Researcher at KAIST, focusing on high-speed signal integrity and power integrity design in system-in-package technologies and equalizer design for high-speed serial links. From 2011 to 2013, he was a Senior Engineer at the Global Technology Center (GTC), Samsung Electronics. At Samsung Electronics, he specialized in high-speed serial interconnect design and electromagnetic compatibility/interference (EMC/EMI) design for ICs, packages, and highly integrated mobile devices. Since 2014, he has been a Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Kwangwoon University, Seoul, South Korea. He has been a Senior Member of IEEE since 2015. His research interests include system-level EMC/EMI, multigigabit serial interface design, and advanced electromagnetic applications.
